It has been great to get back out with the pupils and exploring the Outdoor Learning Area and a bonus being blessed with such glorious autumnal weather.

This week we have been looking closely at the leaves of some of our native British trees. Comparing their colours, textures and shapes. The pupils managed to collect quite a variety of specimens.

We identified which tree the leaves came from and looked at the relevant seed, nut or berry that the tree then produces at this time of the year.

The pupils then created their own tree picture using cut straws. The pictures we are going to take a copy of and display in the main hall.
