Remembrance Day in our FSU at Witheridge

special poppy-themed biscuits to share with the residents of The Firs Care Home Witheridge

As part of their Remembrance Day learning, children in our Foundation Stage Unit at Witheridge made special poppy-themed biscuits to share with the residents of The Firs Care Home Witheridge .

Together, they decorated a bright poppy-covered box to hold the biscuits and created a beautiful handmade poppy card to accompany their gift. This thoughtful activity helped the children learn about remembrance, kindness and community, while bringing smiles to the residents of The Firs.

The residents and staff were delighted to receive the gifts and enjoyed the biscuits with a cup of tea in the evening. Myrtle, who is 102 years old seen pictured, was especially pleased to receive the treats from one of our Reception pupils at Witheridge CofE Academy.
