Yesterday afternoon, the children swapped onto the opposite activities from the morning and, unfortunately, the rain continued to fall. Despite the challenging conditions, everyone showed fantastic resilience and perseverance as they pushed themselves out of their comfort zones and tackled the activities with brilliant attitudes.

In the evening, we headed down for dinner before the children made the most of the indoor spaces, as there was still no break from the weather. The opening of the shop was certainly a welcomed sight, with children swarming in clutching their pocket money! Evening entertainment included karaoke and astro turf games, whilst others enjoyed quieter moments in the communal areas, making new friends and relaxing after a busy day.

Before bed, we complimented everyone on their positive attitudes throughout what had been a really tricky day, and it was clear that everybody was more than ready for a good night’s sleep.

This morning, we were up once again for another early morning run and, you guessed it, the rain returned! However, over the last hour the sun has finally appeared and we’ve enjoyed some warmer weather whilst the groups took part in surfing and kayaking activities.

This afternoon, the groups will swap over again before getting changed into their fancy-dress outfits ahead of another evening full of entertainment and sugar-fuelled fun!
