Year 6 Exmoor Challenge

On Saturday the 5th May, we successfully completed the Exmoor Challenge! We met at school at quarter past 8 and drove to Dulverton Middle School. When we arrived, we had to wait on the playground for our numbers to be called. While we were waiting, we felt nervous because of the 16 mile journey ahead. We had to go through all the safety checks with the Exmoor Rotary Club. Luckily we had everything so we didn’t get any penalty points .
The walk was frustrating and tiring because we were worried about the timings and how we would find the checkpoints. Luckily for us, we found checkpoint 4a which meant we didn’t get any penalty points.
We couldn’t believe how hot it was; we even had a water fight on the way round! We enjoyed seeing the amazing scenery and the magnificent views.
All the other teams were very friendly and polite towards us. Everyone we saw was cheering us on. We are grateful for all our supporters that kept us going all day.
