On Wednesday, we took some children to the annual TEAM Cross Country event at High Bickington. These were children who had impressed us during qualification races and during the Daily Mile.  After the event was cancelled 3 times last year due to poor weather, I was a little uncertain going into the week. However, what a marvellous day we had! The sun was shining, the conditions were perfect and we had record breaking numbers attending the event. When we arrived, I would imagine it was a little daunting for our children seeing over 200 children from our other TEAM schools. But, when the event started, any daunting feelings certainly dissipated. Our children ran fantastically well and secured several top 10 finishes. I was also impressed by how our children spent their time outside of races cheering on their friends and mixing with other children in our academy.

We are so lucky to have so many children who love collaborating and competing through physical activity. Well done Witheridge runners!
