Witheridge C of E Academy - Christmas Jumper Day is raising money for Save The Children!
We have reached the end of a fantastic first term of learning for this academic year. It has been a very busy week, with so many festive events taking place.
On Monday and Tuesday the children in Key Stage 1 and 2 performed 4 times for Parents and Carers. The children performed brilliantly, I was so proud of all the children for their beautiful singing and fantastic acting. Well done everyone. Thank you also to the staff for putting together this great show!
On Wednesday, the children in Key Stage 2 visited The Firs to sing some of the Nativity songs for the residents. The children sang beautifully, and despite some fairly miserable weather, spread Christmas Good Cheer! At lunchtime, we enjoyed our delicious Christmas Lunch. An enormous THANK YOU to Bobbie and Sophie for putting on such a yummy feast for us all.
On Thursday, children in Reception and Class 4 performed a tableau of the Nativity and Class 4 read the Christmas story to us all. It was a beautiful service, and the children were excellent. Thank you to the Parents and Carers who joined us for the service and to Adrian and Sue for their lovely contributions.
Today, we are in the party spirit with the Toddlers and Nursery children partying hard this morning - with a special visit from Father Christmas and Rudolf! This afternoon, is the turn of the children in Reception - Class 4. It has been a lovely end to a great week.
