At the end of this half-term, the children in our FSU were delighted to welcome the return of the wonderful weather, which linked perfectly with our Spring topic.
Outdoor Learning was Woodwork Week and the children had a fantastic time getting stuck in! Using wood from our recently cut trees, they created their very own outdoor learning necklaces
The visit was a brilliant opportunity for the children to explore the world around them, develop their understanding of farming and food production, and learn through real-life experiences.
Last week was Deaf Awareness Week, and we were incredibly fortunate to welcome Helen Maiden (Teacher of the Deaf) to lead a collective worship alongside Taya in Year 5.
There was a real buzz of excitement in the FSU last Tuesday morning as the children arrived proudly dressed for ‘Superhero Day’. From capes and masks to a wonderful range of imaginative costumes, the children fully embraced the theme and were eager to begin the day’s activities.
On Saturday, eight of our Year 6 children took part in the Exmoor Challenge. In preparation, they completed over 30 miles of training and developed valuable map-reading skills to support them on the day.
