Reception Class had a swashbucklingly good time during a special visit from Pirate Pat!
Reception Class had a swashbucklingly good time during a special visit from Pirate Pat!
The children set sail across the ocean on an exciting adventure, where they met a host of sea creatures in need of help. Along the way, they discovered Sally Seal tangled in plastic twine, Timmy Turtle trapped inside a plastic bag, Sammy Seagull, who had gathered plastic into her nest and Fiona Fish who was sadly eating floating plastic.
The children were completely engaged throughout the journey, showing great empathy and enthusiasm as they learned about the dangers of plastic pollution for these wonderful animals.
Through Pirate Pat’s exciting storytelling and activities, they also discovered how they can make a difference by remembering the important message to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
It was a fun-filled and meaningful experience that the children thoroughly enjoyed!
