At Witheridge CofE Academy we have Golden Time after our Celebration Assembly on a Friday morning, as a positive behaviour management strategy to reward students for following school rules and values.

Why do Schools have Golden Time?

• Reward Good Behaviour: It gives students a fun treat, like games, sports, or crafts, when they follow the rules.

• Encourage Responsibility: Children learn that their actions have direct consequences. Breaking rules can lead to losing a few minutes of their reward.

• Build Social Skills: It lets students choose alternative group activities that help develop social-emotional intelligence and teamwork.

• Improve Class Culture: A scheduled break reduces minor disruptions during the week and creates a positive learning environment.
