Our School Vision and Values

‘Encourage One Another and Build Each Other Up’

1 Thessalonians 5: 11

At Witheridge School, we aspire to encourage one another and build each other up to be the best that we can be: the best learners, the best friends, the best people, in school and in the wider community, now and in the future.

In order to help us achieve this, we have six core School Christian Values that we try to follow in school. These values form the basis of our daily acts of Collective Worship.

This half term our value is PERSEVERANCE

Our School CharitIES

This year, the School Council have chosen to support not one, but two charities!

They have chosen to support both CHAT and The Blue Cross.

CHAT - Churches Housing Action Team (Mid Devon) Ltd - Offers free, impartial, confidential support and advice service to help people facing homelessness and those people who find themselves in a housing crisis.  And they helped over 1489 people with giving out food parcels through their Food Bank and Fuel Poverty Scheme.

BLUE CROSS - Pets are at the heart of everything the Blue Cross do. Each year, thousands of cats, dogs, small pets and horses turn to their animal hospitals, clinics and re-homing services for treatment and to find them the happy homes they deserve.

More information about both charities can be found by visiting their websites.

Over the year, the School Council will be organising lots of different fund raisers to help raise money for their chosen charities. This years so far the School Council decided that instead of having a harvest box, we wanted to help people by collecting coins which we can donate to our chosen charities. To do this the School Council made a big house and a big dog and invited children to cover them with coins. We are asking for children (and grown ups!) to stick coins onto the house and the dog which was on display in the hall until the half term.
