Encourage One Another And Build Each Other Up

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to school following the half-term break. It has been a real pleasure to see the children return full of energy, enthusiasm and excitement for the term ahead. The positive start they have made has been wonderful to see, and we are looking forward to a busy and rewarding few weeks together.

This half-term, we are introducing our new Christian Value: Forgiveness. As a Church of England school, our values are at the heart of all that we do. Forgiveness encourages us to reflect, to show compassion and understanding, and to repair relationships when things go wrong. Through worship, classroom discussion and daily interactions, we will be exploring what forgiveness means in our school and in our wider community. This links closely to our vision, “Encourage one another and build each other up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11). By practising forgiveness, we strengthen our community and help every child to flourish.

Please do keep a close eye on the school calendar for the many events, trips and activities coming up this term. There is much to look forward to, and we value your continued support in helping the children take part in the full life of the school.

Special congratulations to Class 3 on a fantastic first swimming lesson. The children represented the school brilliantly and demonstrated excellent behaviour throughout. We are very proud of the way they conducted themselves and look forward to seeing their confidence grow over the coming weeks.

As shared recently, we were delighted with the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection. One comment that particularly reflects our school community was that “high expectations [are] held by staff for what pupils can achieve regardless of their background.” This recognition is a testament to the hard work of our staff, the support of our families and the determination of our pupils. It also reflects our shared commitment to encouraging one another and building each other up every day.

Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support. We look forward to a successful and fulfilling half-term.

With warm regards,

Miss Ratcliffe
