Encourage One Another And Build Each Other Up

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a fantastic and fun-filled week we have had at Witheridge C of E Academy! There has been so much to celebrate, and it has been wonderful to see our school community truly living out our vision to “Encourage One Another and Build Each Other Up.”

We were treated to a brilliant music concert put on by Mr Rogo, where the children wowed us with their enthusiasm, confidence, and talent. It was a perfect example of pupils supporting each other and shining together—well done to everyone involved!

Hot on its heels was the energetic drum concert led by Mr Godfrey. The hall was alive with rhythm and excitement, and it was clear just how much teamwork and encouragement had gone into the performance. A fantastic experience for all!

As Easter approached, we came together for a lovely and reflective Easter Service. A big thank you to Adrian for leading us so thoughtfully. It was a special time to reflect on the true meaning of Easter—the hope, joy, and new life we celebrate through the resurrection of Jesus—and how we can share that message by showing kindness and encouragement to one another each day.

Our amazing PTFA, alongside Mrs Seymour, organised a truly fantastic Easter Fayre. There was something for everyone, and the event was full of laughter, joy, and community spirit. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make it such a success—we are so grateful!

Voyager Silly Sock Day brought a splash of colour and lots of smiles across the school. From stripy to spotty, the creativity on show was brilliant and certainly brightened our days!

A big well done to Class 3 on completing their final swimming session. You have all shown great determination, resilience, and progress—an achievement to be very proud of!

As we head into the Easter break, we thank you all for your continued support in helping us encourage one another and build each other up, living out our values in the spirit of love and hope that Easter brings.

We wish all our families a peaceful and joyful Easter, filled with hope, blessings, and time together. We look forward to seeing you again on Monday 20th April.🐣🌷

Warmest wishes,
Miss Ratcliffe

School Council News - Charity of the Year: Cancer Research UK

Our school council has chosen the charity, Cancer Research UK, to be our named school charity of the year. Over the course of the next few months, we'll be sending out details about upcoming fundraising events and opportunities. The school council explained the reason for their decision to choose Cancer Research UK:

"We all know someone who has been affected by cancer, and we know every penny raised for Cancer UK counts to help those battling cancer."

We have set up a school giving page, should you wish to support this great charity and help the children with their fundraising this year.
