Encourage One Another And Build Each Other Up

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week has been SATs week for our Y6 children. We have been SO PROUD of our Y6s who have demonstrated several of our School Values this week – they have shown Courage to overcome the nerves, Perseverance to keep going even when they have found it tricky and, most importantly, Friendship towards each other over the week - they have certainly encouraged one another and built each other up.

As a special treat for finishing their SATs, they were all given their Leavers' Hoodies on Thursday to wear for the remainder of the academic year. Mrs Seymour also baked them a special celebration cake to enjoy on Thursday afternoon!

On Friday, they are off to the Waie Inn for a treat morning and on Sunday they are off on their Y6 Residential to Bude! We look forward to hearing about their adventures on Residential when they get back.

I want to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to Mr Manning and Mrs Roberts for preparing the children so well for their SATs. Also, a big thank you to Mrs Ware (and Miss Barrett) for supporting the children on the day, and to Mrs Seymour for leading the SATs breakfast every day with such good cheer.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

All the best,

Miss Ratcliffe                                                                                                                            Head of School

Dear Parents and Carers,

A couple of reminders from the PTFA.

A reminder that we will be selling names for the St John's Fayre Bear, after school, on Fridays in the playground. Names are £1 each and there are some great prizes on offer. Cash only please. Look out for Mrs. Seymour in the playground.

Next week, we are holding a KS1 disco after school on Wednesday 20th May from 3.30-4.30. Sign-up is available on Arbor now and open until Tuesday morning. This is so we know the number for snacks and disco gear.  Please ensure that you sign up and pay on Arbor if you want your child to attend.

Please accept our apologies for a mistake in last week's newsletter. The KS2 leavers disco will be held on Thursday 2nd July. Sorry for any confusion this caused. Details to follow next half-term.

Thank you for your continued support.

From the Witheridge PTFA
