Encourage One Another And Build Each Other Up

🌟 Welcome Back to Witheridge C of E Academy! 🌟

Dear Parents and Carers,

A very warm welcome back to all of our families, and a special welcome to our new Reception children and their families. It has been absolutely wonderful to welcome our new children into school and see them beginning to settle into school life. We are so proud of how well they have started their journey with us!

It has also been lovely to welcome everyone else back to school. The children have returned with lots of enthusiasm, smiles and stories to share. We have particularly enjoyed hearing all about their summer holidays and finding out about the exciting things they have been getting up to over the break. It has been a fantastic start to the new school year!

👋 Meet the Teacher

A big thank you to everyone who came along to our Meet the Teacher session on Wednesday. It was lovely to see so many of you and to have the opportunity to share some information about the year ahead.

We hope you found the session useful and that it helped you to get to know your child's new class teacher and understand a little more about what the year ahead will look like.

📚 Parents' Evening – 7th & 8th October

A reminder that our Parents' Evenings will take place on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th October.

These meetings will provide an opportunity to have a longer conversation with your child's teacher about how well they have settled into their new class and year group, as well as discussing their learning, friendships and how they are progressing.

Further information about booking appointments will be shared in due course.

🏃 PE Starts Next Week!

A reminder that PE lessons will begin next week.

Please make sure that your child comes to school with the correct PE kit on their allocated PE day. We are looking forward to getting active again and enjoying lots of PE and sporting opportunities throughout the year!

đŸ‘©â€đŸ« Who's Who in Our Classes?

We are very fortunate to have a wonderful team of staff supporting our children across the school. Here is a reminder of our class teams:

Class 1 â€“ Miss Coles and Mrs Wyborn
Class 2 â€“ Mrs Lewis, Miss Ratcliffe and Mrs Seymour

We are very much looking forward to working together as a team to make this another happy, successful and memorable year for all of our children.

📅 Keep an Eye on the Calendar

As we move into the new school year, there will be lots of exciting events, activities and important dates to look forward to.

Please keep an eye on the calendar section of our newsletter for all the latest information and key dates. We will continue to update this regularly throughout the term.

It has been a fantastic start to the year and we would like to say a huge thank you to all of our children and families for helping us to begin the year so positively.

We are looking forward to a wonderful year together, filled with learning, friendship, fun and opportunities to encourage one another and build each other up. đŸ’™

Community Notices

!!! ATTENTION !!!

Witheridge Sports Club car park will be partially out of use for Bikeability on Tuesday 29th & Wednesday 30th September 8.30-3.30pm.

The car park will be accessible for both school staff and parents on the school run. However, we politely ask you to refrain from parking on the club building side of the car park, instead park on the Lakeland side of the car park (keeping the entrance driveway clear for the school coaches).

As before, a section of the car park will be conned off at approx. 8.15am, but for those arriving before this time, please park at Lakelands side.

This is not to be awkward but to ensure the safety of the children in our community and the safety of the instructors.

Many thanks
