Encourage One Another And Build Each Other Up

🌟 Another Wonderful Week at Witheridge! 🌟

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve had another great week at school! 🌟 The children have continued to settle beautifully into their routines and it has been lovely to see everyone learning, playing and enjoying being back together.

We have been especially lucky with some lovely sunny lunchtimes this week! β˜€οΈ The children have been making the most of our outdoor spaces and enjoying lots of creative OPAL play.

OPAL Donations – Keep Them Coming!

A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated items for our OPAL provision. The children are having so much fun with them!

Please keep those donations coming! We are always looking for interesting, safe items that can inspire imaginative play and give the children even more opportunities to explore and create.

πŸ§₯ Coats… Just in Case!

Although we have had some beautiful sunshine, we all know how quickly the Devon weather can change! 🌦️

Please remember that every child should bring a NAMED waterproof coat to school every day. It may be sunny when they arrive, but we want to make sure everyone is prepared for whatever the weather decides to do!

🚌 Breakfast & After School Club – Now on Arbor!

We have made a little change to the way you book Breakfast Club and After School Club.

You can now make your bookings directly through the Arbor App. πŸ“±

A huge thank you to Mrs Eastman for getting this all set up for us β€” we hope this makes booking clubs much easier for families.

Please have a look at the poster included with this newsletter for more information about our After School Clubs.

πŸ“… Parents' Evenings – Booking Opens TONIGHT!

A little reminder that our Parents' Evenings are coming up:

πŸ“… Wednesday 7th October
πŸ“… Thursday 8th October

Booking opens TONIGHT at 8pm! ⏰

Appointment slots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so make sure you log on this evening if you have a particular time that works best for you.

We look forward to having the opportunity to share how the children are getting on and celebrate all their hard work so far this term. πŸ’›

🌾 Harvest Festival – Everyone Welcome!

Our Harvest Festival will be held on:

🌾 Wednesday 7th October at 10am
β›ͺ Witheridge Church

All parents and carers are very welcome to join us.

Children from Reception through to Year 6 will all be contributing to our Harvest service, and we are really looking forward to coming together as a whole school community to celebrate.

We are also collecting tinned and packaged food in the school library. If you are able to donate, please give what you can β€” every contribution is very much appreciated. ❀️

Fresh produce is also very welcome closer to the date of the service.

πŸ’› Encourage One Another & Build Each Other Up

Our school vision, β€œEncourage one another and build each other up,” is something we want to see in action every day.

This week, we have seen lots of lovely examples of children encouraging their friends, helping one another and making sure others are included in their play.

Sometimes it is the smallest things that make the biggest difference β€” a kind word, helping someone who is struggling, inviting someone into a game or simply noticing when somebody needs a little encouragement.

As we head into another busy few weeks, let’s all continue to look out for one another, celebrate each other’s successes and build each other up. 🌟

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend β€” and fingers crossed for a little more sunshine! β˜€οΈ

With best wishes,

Miss Ratcliffe

!!! ATTENTION - MESSAGE FROM WITHERIDGE SPORTS CLUB !!!

The car park will be partially out of use for Bikeability on Tuesday 29th & Wednesday 30th September 8.30-3.30pm.

The car park will be accessible for both school staff and parents on the school run however, we politely ask you to refrain from parking the club building side of the car park, instead park on Lakelands/right side of the car park (keeping the entrance driveway clear for the school coaches).

As before, a section of the car park will be conned off approx. 8:15am but for those arriving before this time please park Lakelands side.

This is not to be awkward but to ensure the safety of the children in our community and the safety of the instructors.

Many thanks

Sarah Bragg
